An addictive roguelite that will hook you from the first moment.

Vampire Survivors is not only one of the indie sensations of the year, but also one of the most addictive casual action games of recent times. Developed by poncle, this delicious mix between Castlevania and Gauntlet will keep you glued to your PC for hours. Your mission? Try to futilely survive waves of enemies while accumulating a fortune and waiting for your epic ending. With an attractive retro aesthetic, this roguelite has not only already captivated millions of players worldwide, but has also served as inspiration for successful games such as the popular Brotato or Halls of Torment. Would you like to get to know it thoroughly?

What type of game is Vampire Survivors?

Vampire Survivors is a casual game, unlike anything you have played before. Its objective is as simple as surviving waves of pixelated enemies while moving our hero around the screen. Say goodbye to complicated controls and learning long and impossible combos, as all attacks will be automatic. You just need to worry about escaping and surviving as long as possible.

The gameplay of Vampire Survivors is as simple as a pacifier mechanism. Move around the screen using the arrow keys while hundreds of enemies rush towards you. On the screen, we have a timer that counts the time we manage to survive and next to it, an experience bar that we will fill thanks to the gems and gold that our enemies drop. The best part? We won't have to worry about anything. Every attack in the game is automatic and we only need to focus on moving and surviving.

Unlock new characters, powers, and scenarios

Like a good roguelite, each death in Vampire Survivors does not mean defeat, but a small step towards victory. All the experience we have gained during the battle will translate into new playable characters, powers, and scenarios. In this way, the game constantly encourages us to engage in battle again and to strive a little more to defeat that horde of pixelated enemies. All this in a truly addictive title that, far from being complex, will relax you, entertain you, and keep you glued to the screen for hours on end.

A minimalist technical section for an outstanding experience

Vampire Survivors has a seemingly minimalist but highly successful graphic and sound section. The game features a colorful pixel-art design that will delight all retro game lovers. Accompanying its graphics, we find a magnificent soundtrack and vibrant sound effects throughout. While each of these factors alone is remarkable, when they come together, they offer a stimulating and highly rewarding gaming experience that you will hardly forget.

How long does a game of Vampire Survivors last?

Games of Vampire Survivors have a varied duration, from a few minutes up to a maximum of 30 minutes. When reaching that minute, Death will appear, who with a few attacks will end the life of our character.

Does Vampire Survivors have a multiplayer mode?

Yes, Vampire Survivors has a local multiplayer mode for 4 players.

Explore the chilling Whiteout

The developers have released the so-called Whiteout update to continue spicing up Vampire Survivors. It starts with the titular level, a sprawling snowy landscape with winter-themed monsters and Christmas-inspired designs. The update also introduces a new character and weapon to match the stage. Play as She-Moon Eeta, a banshee-looking character with the powers of frost. You can also pick up the Glass Fandango, which deals bonus damage to frozen enemies and can be upgraded into the Celestial Voulge.

Also, two new relics are coming with the Whiteout update. You get the Antidote and Chaos Altemanna. These can be found through the game’s endgame, such as the Challenge level Tiny Bridge holding the Altemanna, which can be used to morph the character O’Sole Meeo at level 80. Lastly, the massive update fixes bugs and introduces additional quality-of-life (QoL) updates.

A fun and highly addictive roguelite

Vampire Survivors is a game that, in its apparent simplicity, hides a gameplay so fun that it will hook you from the first moment. Its short and challenging matches are a real delight for those who, without much free time during the day, want to enjoy a good video game without many complications. With hundreds of enemies to defeat, tons of extra content to unlock, and a fun multiplayer for 4 people, Vampire Survivors is a perfect choice for a fun afternoon in front of your PC. Do you dare to try it?
